/ˈdip/ adj A1, A2, B1**Deep** describes anything that stretches far down, like a canyon or a thought that refuses to stay shallow. It also labels music that rumbles low, colors that soak the eye, and a sleep so heavy you could hide a small planet in it. When something is complex, tangled, or saturated, you call it deep.
