accustomed

/əˈkəstəmd/ adj A2, C1

usual

Word Origin From Latin 'ad-' (to) and 'suescere' (to make one's own, from 'swe-' meaning self). Accustomed means made one's own through habit. The root gave us custom (a habitual practice), customer (one who habitually buys), and even costume (originally a customary dress). So accustomed is about making something part of your self.
