insusceptibility

/ɪnsəsˌɛptəbˈɪlᵻɾi/ noun

Lack of susceptibility (most senses),

Word Origin From Latin sus- (a form of sub- 'under') and capere 'to take' — literally 'able to take under.' Susceptible means capable of being influenced or affected. Insusceptibility is the opposite: the quality of being immune to influence, not taking anything in. The root capere is the same as in accept, except, concept, capture, and capacity. The PIE root *kap- 'to grasp' is behind all these. So insusceptibility is 'not graspable' by outside forces.
