implorer

/ɛ̃.plɔ.ʁe/ noun

One who implores.

Word Origin From Latin implorare 'to call upon with tears,' from in- 'upon' and plorare 'to weep, cry out.' So an implorer is literally someone who cries out to someone for help. The root plorare also gives us 'deplore' (to weep over, lament) and 'deplorable' (worthy of being wept over). You can almost hear the pleading.
