Not factual; false or fictional.

Word Origin Nonfactual means not based on facts. Fact comes from Latin factum 'something done,' from facere 'to do, make' (PIE *dhe- 'to set, put'). The same root gives us factory (place where things are made), manufacture (make by hand), and affect (to do something to). Nonfactual denies that something is a done deed — it's not real.
