crewless

/ˈkɹuləs/ adj

Without a crew; unmanned

Word Origin Crew comes from Latin crescere 'to grow' via Old French creue 'increase' — originally a crew was a reinforcement of soldiers. Crewless means without that group, empty of personnel. The same root gives us increase, decrease, and crescent (the growing moon).
