congealed

/kənˈdʒiɫd/ adj C1

having become solid or thick

Word Origin Congeal comes from Latin congelare, literally 'to freeze together' — like fat solidifying as it cools. The root gel- 'freeze' also gives us gelatinous (jelly-like) and even jelly itself. Congealed describes something that has become thick or solid.
