cashable

/kˈæʃəbəl/ adj

Able to be converted into cash

Word Origin Cashable means 'able to be turned into cash.' But 'cash' comes from Latin capsa 'box, receptacle' — originally a money box. So cash is literally 'box money.' The same root capsa gives us capsule, and via capere 'to take,' we get accept, except, concept, and receptacle. So cashable is 'able to be boxed.'
