unsafely

/ənˈseɪfli/ adv

In an unsafe way; without regard to safety; carelessly.

Word Origin From Latin salvus 'whole, uninjured' — safe originally meant being intact, not harmed. Unsafely means doing something in a way that risks wholeness. The same root gives us save (to keep whole), salvage (rescue from loss), and salute (wish wholeness, health). So unsafely is acting without regard for keeping things whole.
