entelechy

/ɛnˈtɛləki/ noun B2

something that is fully realized or actual

Word Origin Entelechy is a philosophical term coined by Aristotle — from Greek en 'in,' telos 'end, perfection,' and ekhein 'to have.' It means the condition of something that has its full potential realized within itself. The same telos root gives us teleology (study of purpose) and telic (directed toward an end). Ekhein gives us scheme (a plan held together) and energy (in-work).
