blamable

/ˈbleɪməbəl/ adj B1

at fault

Word Origin Blame comes from Greek blasphemein 'to speak evil of' — so to blame is to speak ill. Blamable means 'able to be blamed'. The Greek root also gives us blaspheme and blasphemy. It's a great example of how a religious term for irreverence became our everyday word for fault-finding.
