electrifiable

/ᵻlˈɛktɹɪfˌaɪəbəl/ adj

Capable of being electrified (charged with electricity, by rubbing etc)

Word Origin From Greek ēlektron 'amber' — because ancient Greeks noticed that rubbing amber created static electricity. Electrifiable means 'able to be charged with electricity.' The same root gives us electric, electricity, and electron. The -ify suffix from Latin facere 'to make' and -able 'capable of' make it clear: 'able to be made electric.'
