unambiguously

/ənæmˈbɪɡjuəsɫi/ adv

In a manner that is not ambiguous; leaving no doubt; clearly

Word Origin 'Unambiguously' comes from 'unambiguous', which is 'un-' + 'ambiguous'. 'Ambiguous' is from Latin 'ambigere' 'to wander about, be undecided', from 'ambi-' (both sides) and 'agere' (to drive). So ambiguous means driven both ways, uncertain. Unambiguously is the opposite: clearly driven in one direction. The same 'ambi-' prefix gives us ambidextrous (both right hands) and ambivalent.
