playability

/plˌeɪəbˈɪlᵻɾi/ noun

The quality and enjoyability of a game's gameplay.

Word Origin Playability is the quality of being playable. Play comes from Proto-Germanic plegan, which originally meant 'to move rapidly, exercise, occupy oneself'. The -able suffix (from Latin) and -ity (from Latin -itas) make it a noun. Related: playable, playful, replay, and playground. The root plegan also gives us pledge (originally a solemn promise, from the idea of engaging oneself). So playability is about how well something can be played.
