overinflate

/ˌoʊvɚɹɪnflˈeɪt/ verb

To inflate excessively; to provide too much inflation

Word Origin Inflate comes from Latin in- 'into' and flare 'to blow' — literally 'to blow into.' Overinflate adds over- to mean blowing in too much air. The same flare root gives us deflate (blow out), flatulent (blowing, windy), and even flavor (originally a blowing, smell).
