guardable

/ɡˈɑɹdəbəl/ adj

That may be guarded.

Word Origin Guard comes from Proto-Germanic *wardōną 'to watch, keep' — the same root that gives us warden (a keeper), award (something watched over and given), and reward (something given back for watching). Guardable simply adds -able: able to be guarded. The PIE root *wer- 'to perceive, watch out for' also yields aware, wary, and even wardrobe (a place to guard your clothes). So something guardable can be kept safe under watch.
