injudiciously

/ˌɪnd͡ʒʊˈdɪʃəslɪ/ adv

In an injudicious manner.

Word Origin From Latin ius 'law' and dicere 'to say' — a judge is literally a 'law-speaker'. Judicious means having good judgment, so injudiciously means acting without it, not speaking the law wisely. The negative in- flips it. The same roots give us prejudice (pre-judging), adjudicate (to judge toward), and judgment. The PIE root *deik- 'to show, pronounce' also gives us dictate and indicate.

adv In an injudicious manner.

He injudiciously invested all his savings in that risky venture without proper research.

(副词) 欠考虑地;不明智地;轻率地

(Adverb) unüberlegt; unklug [Auf unkluge, unüberlegte oder unvernünftige Weise.]
