foreclosable

/fɔɹklˈoʊzəbəl/ adj

Capable of being foreclosed.

Word Origin A combination of Old English fore- 'before, in front' and Latin claudere 'to shut' — so to foreclose is literally 'to shut beforehand,' to block off access in advance. The legal sense of foreclosing a mortgage comes from shutting out the borrower's right to redeem. The same Latin root gives us enclose (shut in), disclose (un-shut, reveal), and conclude (shut together, end).

The mortgage on this property is foreclosable if payments are missed for six months.
