chronographic

/kɹˌɑnəɡɹˈæfɪk/ adj

Of, pertaining to, or recorded via, a chronograph.

Word Origin From Greek chronos 'time' and graphein 'to write' — literally 'time-writing.' A chronograph is a device that records time, and chronographic describes anything related to that recording. The chrono- root gives us chronic (lasting over time), chronicle (a written record of events in time), synchronize (make happen at the same time), and anachronism (something out of its proper time). The -graph part is the same as in photograph (light-writing) and biography (life-writing).
