craterless

/ˈkɹeɪtɝləs/ adj

Devoid of craters.

Word Origin From Greek krater 'mixing bowl' — a crater is literally a bowl-shaped depression, like the ones on the moon. Craterless means without such bowls, smooth. The Greek krater was a large vessel for mixing wine and water. The same root gives us cratered, and appears in idiosyncrasy (from idio- 'personal' + syn- 'together' + krasis 'mixture' — a personal mixture of traits).
