allegeable

/ælˈɛdʒəbəl/ adj

Able to be alleged

Word Origin From Latin allegare 'to bring forward, cite,' from ad- 'to' + legare 'to send.' So allegeable means 'able to be alleged or cited.' The root legare 'to send' also gives us legate (an envoy), delegate (send away), and legacy (something sent down). The idea of alleging is sending forth a claim.
