learnedly

/ˈɫɝndli/ adv

In an educated and knowledgeable manner.

Word Origin From learn, which goes back to Proto-Germanic *liznojan 'to follow a track' — so learning originally meant following a path of knowledge. The PIE root *leis- meant 'track, furrow,' so you can almost see the idea of tracing a furrow to gain wisdom. Learnedly means in a scholarly manner, and the same root gives us learner, unlearn, and even the German lernen.
